The Artist
"Nature has a way of demanding to be painted. My work is a romantic exploration of the wild and the majestic — born from my adventures abroad and the soft, golden light of home. I don't just paint landscapes; I paint the way it feels to stand in front of them."
I'm Rajinder Singh — by day a software engineer, by heart a seeker of light. After moving from India to Ireland, I found myself captivated by the dramatic shift of northern skies. My art is a self-taught journey — a tribute to my mother, who set down her brushes in England forty years ago to raise a family.
Today, I pick up those brushes to continue her legacy. While the business of art is a challenge, the act of painting is my peace, and every landscape I create is a step toward the artist she dreamed I would be.
I believe in art that heals, not harms. Every landscape I paint is created using non-toxic, ethically sourced materials because our health and our waterways are non-negotiable. It's a more difficult way to work, but it's the only way to truly honour the nature I see.
I paint with a sense of urgency and a commitment to the earth. For me, art is a lifelong study of light, legacy, and the ethical substances that bring a canvas to life — striving to master the craft my mother loved, while ensuring the world I paint stays beautiful for those who follow.
